Blackhawks Connor Bedard heads to penalty box after first career fight
In today's heated matchup between Team Canada and Denmark at the World Championships, young star Connor Bedard showed a different side of his game, engaging in what appeared to be his first on-ice fight.
Bedard and Denmark's Jesper Jensen Aabo were both sent to the penalty box after a rough exchange that stopped short of escalating into a full blown fight.
During the game, tensions ran high, culminating in the two players throwing punches. Instead of a major penalty, both were handed two-minute minors for roughing.
This incident not only marked a rare moment of aggression from the 18-year-old phenom but also highlighted the intense nature of the competition at the international level.
