Has Connor Bedard ruined a relationship in Chicago before it started? Blackhawks legend Jeremy Roenick called out Bedard today.

Chicago Blackhawks legend and recent HHOF inductee, Jeremy Roenick, was interviewed on the "Snipes and Stripes" Podcast.

The topic of the Winter Classic was covered, and of course, Roenick was in attendance and honored that night at Wrigley Field, along with Chris Chelios, and Denis Savard.

Roenick made a remark during the interview which leads us to believe that he hasn't been too friendly with the Blackhawks alumni. Which included those three names in attendance earlier in the game.

Before the 6-2 spanking, he mentioned that all of the other Blackhawks would reach out to Roenick, Savard, and Chelios.

But Bedard would fail to show the kind of respect for his predecessors, that players like Nick Foligno, and Jason Dickinson know: show respect to your leaders.

This is surprising for Connor Bedard, considering he's the face of the Chicago Blackhawks. He has the most to gain from establishing a relationship with the "Family" which Roenick mentions.

He could pull from the experiences that Roenick, Savard, and Chelios could offer especially since Roenick was a legendary power-forward in the NHL and at one point in his career scored 50 goals.

Maybe it was a sign of things to come, but Roenick doubts Bedard's leadership abilities especially if he's unable to make good with the Blackhawks past.

That night Connor Bedard would only tally 1 point ( 1A), a -1 rating, with 2 giveaways, and 21:05 TOI.

What Roenick has said is very pointed, but with purpose as Bedard needs to consider getting out of his own way, and building long-lasting relationships with those who came before him.
