GM Kyle Davidson and the Chicago Blackhawks have had to make a difficult decision today.

They have cut the training camp roster by four more players today, as they have sent forward AJ Spellacy back to the OHL to the Windsor Spitfires.

Spellacy is 18 years old and cannot be sent to the AHL, so he had to return to the juniors. It was speculated that Spellacy would stick around longer, but he needs more time in the juniors to develop further before turning pro with the Blackhawks.

The forward molds his game after his favorite player, Tom Wilson.

In another move we saw coming, Kevin Korchsinki will be sent down to the AHL, where the IceHogs will help address his weaknesses on the ice and become a better defenseman.

It is shocking that with more stability on the back end this season, he didn't stick around. But in the AHL, he will most definitely get top minutes in preparation of his return to the NHL which will very likely come at some point this season.

Louis Crevier will be joining him but will be nothing more than a depth defenseman in the NHL currently, and with him battling it out between Alec Martinez and TJ Brodie it seems he will have to go back to Rockford when the time comes, as he will have a chance to shine in a call-up.

Crevier was in a tough pre-season battle as there are many young defensemen competing for 1-2 spots on the team. The 23-year-old got into his first 24 games in the NHL last season, but his ceiling is as a depth defenseman. He could get the call this season, but it appears as though there are a number of players ahead of him, some of whom haven't been cut from the Blackhawks yet.

Lastly, Frank Nazar will be sent to the AHL to get more top minutes, as he is one of the team's best prospects. He showed up late last season to notch his first NHL goal in three games.

He has promise and could be the 2C to Bedard, and ensure strong depth down the middle for the Blackhawks.
