Blackhawks Pat Maroon Shows Lack Of Respect For New Head Coach Anders Sorensen

The "Road To Winter Classic" Episode 3 features not only superstar Connor Bedard but veteran Pat Maroon.

The veteran forward was caught during practice discussing strategy, and tactics with Interim Coach Anders Sorensen.

You can tell during the entire interaction, that Maroon doesn't seem interested in what Sorensen has to say. It looks like he's reluctantly listening to him the entire time.

Afterward, he'd skate off looking like he'd rather be at a bar having a beer, or just not there. It is not great news for a team whose rebuilding.

Maroon has played 30 games for the Blackhawks this season and has only scored 8 points( 1 G, 7 A) and it's not like he should be shying away from wisdom. Especially when he's still trying to stay relevant in the twilight of his career.

Maroon while winning three Stanley Cups may have let it go to his head, as he looks like he's above reproach during the interaction with leadership.

If someone wants to learn and grow they will accept wisdom as if they've never known anything at all.

This clip would be a little less damning for Maroon if he had an humble demeanor during the video.

Yet he chose disrespect.

Is Maroon one of the toxic players in the Hawks locker room? He's found a friendship with Lukas Reichel and has been a solid fourth-liner during his short-stint in Chicago.

But there's nothing certain, especially in the NHL.

Maroon's contract will expire at the end of the season with a $1.3 Million AAV, and will be a pending UFA.

It's likely he'll end hire NHL career, as a journeyman.
