Chicago Blackhawks employee spoils who they're selecting 2nd overall
The Chicago Blackhawks have the chance to select a top talent at 2nd overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
Veteran turned team employee Chris Chelios was interviewed on the Mully & Haugh Show about the upcoming draft and how he felt they should move.
Chelios felt it was more important to surround Connor Bedard with the talent to succeed in the future, and basically confirmed the team will select a forward and NOT a defensemen second overall.
Chelios feels that the team should add someone like Ivan Demidov or Cayden Lindstrom to help push the team forward, by selecting a forward.
"I'm leaning toward that forward just to help out Bedard a little bit,» Chelios said on the Mully & Haugh Show on Wednesday morning. «He needs someone to play with.»
In another interview, Chelios minced her words, stating he has to be careful with what he says..
"I'm not really supposed to say anything as an employee of the Hawks".
With Macklin Celebrini projected to go 1st overall, the team will have the chance to select a top talent no matter who Kyle Davidson decides to choose after the fact.
