The Chicago Blackhawks now face a major problem with 19-year old Connor Bedard's morale.
Bedard is supposed to be the face of the franchise, he has dominated at each level he has played at and even his first year in the NHL, he proved that he is a top line player.
Bedard won the Calder Trophy.
But what's greatly impacted his second NHL season? Is it Luke Richardson's musical chairs with his linemates, or the sophomore slump curse?
Bedard's line in their 4-1 win against the Florida Panthers, was outshot a whopping 10-0 while on the ice, they did not register a single shot.
Regardless of what may be occuring with sensation Connor Bedard, it must be addressed by general manager Kyle Davidson, or higher-ups.
Bedard's recent comments must sound the alarm organization-wide, to Danny Wirtz (the teams owner) as well.
Following Thursday's practice, Bedard let loose to the media, and it is not something you would ever want to hear from your franchises star.
Bedard is incredibly down on himself these days, and the comments just confirm it all.
Bedard stated the following:
"I could name 100 things [I could do better]. I don't know, man. It's been frustrating, for sure. I just don't feel like I'm really doing anything. Keep chipping away at it, I guess, and hopefully I'll find my game again."
Bedard will look to find the back of the net on Saturday when they visit the Flyers in Philadelphia.
