Chicago Blackhawks former first overall pick Connor Bedard leaves fans scratching their heads after falling for a popular conspiracy.

Connor Bedard is considered 'off to a slow start' to the 2024-25 season, despite leading the team in points, assists, and just 3 off leading them for goals; 41 points on the season in 46 games played so far.

Many fans outside the Blackhawks have lost faith in Bedard, including a former former NHL referee slams Connor Bedard for being 'overrated' after winning the Calder trophy in his rookie season.

Turning point in Connor Bedard's season sparks positive feedback for Blackhawks fans

After receiving all the negative backlash from his poor play, Bedard has turned on the jets for the second half of the season, with 6 goals and 14 points in his last 13 games, unfortunately the Blackhawks have only won two of those last 10 games.

NHL rookies tend to go through a 'sophomore slump' and it's clear that is what the 19-year old is going through at such an early stage of his career.

Bedard looks to get extra support at the end of this NHL season through the draft lottery, if the Blackhawks continue to lose.

Despite the rough season, Bedard seems to be having fun with the media and a recent interaction with a reporter has now surfaced on the web.

"The moon landing... kinda suspicious ya know?"

The Blackhawks fan base chips into all the fun on social media, as they sure did with the moon landing comments.

One fan even went overboard with his comments, taking the light hearted situation to another level.

Did you make light of the situation?
