General Manager Kyle Davidson sent a strong statement to the Blackhawks locker room, addressing the team's recent struggles.

Not even Connor Bedard was exempt from the stern message sent.
Kyle Davidson has seen enough of this for brewing and so have fans, the general manager showed recently through the trade that sent Taylor Hall away to the Carolina Hurricanes.
After the loss to the visiting Wild at the United Center on Saturday, Davidson held a press conference on Monday, where he delivered a stern message to Connor Bedard and the entire locker room.
Davidson addressed the disastrous season fans have endured.
«We expected to be further ahead in the standings but there are a lot of things we've improved upon across the board,» Davidson stated, via CHGO_Blackhawks on X. «Having said that, we're in 2nd-to-last and it's not where we want to be and we'll react accordingly with the group moving forward.»

That message came after Blackhawks forwards reacted to the Taylor Hall trade, as Bedard and longtime friend of Hall, Nick Foligno, were quite frustrated.
Davidson also took his thoughts to the media on player/fan backlash after trading Hall, and went against everything his own players stated.
«We were happy to get the asset we got back. Moving Taylor was something that was going to happen at some point,» Davidson told reporters. «It didn't make sense to wait and not get a better return later on.»
He went on more about the Hall trade, and it was a novel:
Kyle Davidson explains the Taylor Hall return from Chicago's perspective: "It was pretty minimal on our side, obviously a pretty big deal. I think there's a little bit confusion on what our role was in it. For us we were happy to get the asset that we got back. In moving Taylor, I think it was something that was probably going to happen at some point. We were not going to use our two retained salary transactions on being involved in this one and then maybe another one with Taylor later on.
