The Florida Panthers aren't finished with their final roster, as today they made another cut.

This time the team has cut former Blackhawks winger, Mackenzie Entwistle.

Entwistle and the Panthers signed a one-year two-way contract in the summer, to a league minimum $775K contract.

Last season the winger played 67 games with the Blackhawks, scoring 11 points(5 G, 6 A) and providing a depth option for the Blackhawks on the bottom six.

He provided the Blackhawks with some toughness, adding 139 hits, and 47 PIMs ranking third in both categories for the team.

He couldn't put it together to make it on a tough and competitive Panthers roster, instead, they have given the RW4 position to former Bruin and Flame, A.J. Greer who is known for his bruising presence on the ice and isn't afraid to drop the gloves.

Prior to his professional career, Entwistle played in four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) between the Hamilton Bulldogs (2015-16 to 2018-19) and Guelph Storm (2018-19), logging 134 points (61-73-134) and 125 PIMs over 220 regular season games. He served as captain of Hamilton during the 2018-19 campaign and won back-to-back OHL titles with Hamilton (2017-18) and Guelph (2018-19).

On the international stage, Entwistle competed for Canada at the 2017 IIHF U18 World Championship and the 2019 IIHF U20 World Junior Championship, leading Canada with four goals and seven points at the 2017 U18s.
