Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson vented his frustration against Teuvo Teravainen after he whiffed his shot which led to the Blackhawks 2-1 loss in overtime against the Winnipeg Jets.

Even though the season is only two games old, it's clear that the Blackhawks have significant work ahead of them as players are trying to sort out who would be where on the ice and making decisions to help win games. The Blackhawks dominated the Jets for large portions of this game but failed to score when they needed it the most.

Fans took to the X platform and expressed their frustration as well as they all mentioned he needs to make a better decision when it comes to shooting especially in overtime.

The 30-year-old forward was signed as an unrestricted free agent this summer as general manager Kyle Davidson wanted to bolster his forward lines while adding some leadership and veteran presence. Known as an offensive forward and a playmaker he was signed to a three-year deal that holds a cap hit of $5.4 million per season.

This is the second go around for Tervainen with the Blackhawks as he was with the team in 2014-15 and then was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes. As Richardson suggested it's likely that this mistake will likely not happen again as he is a professional and has been a consistent point producer with both teams.

The Blackhawks will need to shake off this game and be ready to face off against the Edmonton Oilers who dropped a 6-0 loss at home against The Jets. The Oilers will look for redemption in front of their fans and the Blackhawks will need to be ready for it. They continue their western road swing.

The game will be on October 12 and game time will be 10:00 PM eastern.
