The Chicago Blackhawks put up an uninspired loss to the Vancouver Canucks, as the offense and defense looked disheveled.

The Blackhawks looked determined to rally, after Taylor Hall scored, along with Ryan Donato striking first.

Instead, Rick Tocchet and the Canucks hung 6 goals on the Blackhawks and Petr Mrazek. But what was appalling, wasn't only how the Blackhawks played last night, but the referees were absent on the job.

Nick Foligno would mention that he thought the referees were negligent.

#29 Carter Sandlak, and #22 Ghislain Herbert were the referees for the Blackhawks and Canucks game last night.

These two referees would miss calls that would cement the Canucks dominance, and leave the Blackhawks drowning, while they were attempting a comeback in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

The First offside goal that even Toronto got wrong was a Danton Heinen goal, which should've been offsides per Chicago Hockey Now.

First, after getting possession of the puck in the offensive zone, Canucks forward Keifer Sherwood skated across the ice, losing possession as the puck left the offensive zone.

After the Blackhawks challenged a Danton Heinen goal that occurred after the following the play, the NHL Situation Room ruled against the Hawks. The league's explanation was that «Sherwood legally tagged up at the blue line before he played the puck in the offensive zone prior to Heinen's goal.»

The Canucks would then ice 7 players, while they scored the fourth goal on the night officially cementing the lead against Bedard and the Hawks. The NHL and the two referees involved cannot be serious when they apologized later to Nick Foligno, when the mistake had already happened.

The Blackhawks were unable to perform well enough after the fourth goal to account for the poor reffing, and would instead fall 6-3 after Tyler Bertuzzi's goal.

It was a pathetic showing on the ice last night, and unfortunately, they didn't account for it in their play last night.

Bedard's frustration would show on the bench, with a broken stick.

Are Sandlak or Herbert going to reimburse him for it? Seems like they should, they'll escape accountability otherwise.

Do you think NHL referees should be held accountability for their mistakes, more often?
