The Downfall of Patrick Kane in Detroit: From Fan Favorite to Now Hated, What's Going On?
Detroit Red Wings Patrick Kane Faces Severe Backlash From Fan Base Due to Poor Play As of Late
Former Chicago Blackhawks superstar turned Detroit Red Wings forward Patrick Kane is trending in the hockey media world, but not for the right reasons.
Kane, who's 36-years of age, has three goals in 23 games this season alongside a concerning plus/minus of negative 6.
It's quite clear Kane's age as well as his bad right hip is catching up to him, regardless of having a crucial hip surgery , it hasn't seemed to change much.
Kane was placed on injury reserve by the Red Wings just last week, which sent a scare to fans.
Thankfully just two days later, Kane appears to be healthy and was activated off of injury reserve.
Despite being deemed fully healthy, backlash is being sent to Kane over his play.
Has Patrick Kane done a thing this season? I truly cant remember the last time he had a positive impact on a game
Fans followed up with the original post, calling out Patrick Kane, and it aligned- showtime is losing fans in Detroit.
It's tough to be in a Blackhawks fans' perspective witnessing this hatred sent towards a beloved 'showtime'.
Kane is one-if not, the greatest American Born hockey player of all-time and deserves the most respect of all.
