Edmonton Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch announces substantial change before game 2
Edmonton Oilers release official lineup for game 2 vs Florida Panthers and it comes with a surprise
Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch has decided to make a bold lineup decision ahead of game two against the Florida Panthers Monday night.
The Oilers will be removing Cody Ceci from the lineup, and it appears Vincent Desharnais will return as he was taking line rushes beside Darenell Nurse at morning skate.
"Vincent Desharnais will be back tonight. Cody Ceci looks like the odd man out."
"Nurse with Desharnais at practice for Game 2.
Ceci could be scratched for the first time as an Oiler.
Lines are as follows:
RNH-McDavid-Hyman
Henrique-Draisaitl-Holloway
Foegele-McLeod-Perry
Janmark-Carrick-Brown
Kane's status for Game 2 is unknown at this point."
The Oilers defensive end, including goaltender Stuart Skinner have shown great struggle so far in this years playoffs but it's somehow worked, up until they met the Florida Panthers two nights ago in game 1.
"Watch how many times teams exploit that pairing. It's a set play. Dump it into Ceci's corner and watch Nurse mentally malfunction. Avs did it. Vegas did it. They aren't learning. Go back to the pairings from game 4, 5, and 6. It's okay to admit you f**ked up."
Will these strategic lineup changes help the Oilers secure their first win?
