Oilers forward Corey Perry makes bold claims to his teammates during interview
Corey Perry has recently been brought off of riding pine and press box duty, to play in two playoff games.
He was brought back on May 16th against the Vancouver Canucks and again, returned to the lineup on May 29th against the Dallas Stars.
Perry has been known as the worm his entire career in the NHL, even as a Hart Trophy winner and Stanley Cup winner.
That's what's kept his career alive as his prime has long since passed him by.
However, with his recent utilization by Kris Knoblauch, Perry stated it's harder to watch the game in the press box, rather than being on ice. He enjoys being on the ice with teammates and helping the Oilers "play their game".
As a veteran of 200 playoff games, Perry feels like he belongs in this stretch of playoff games to help push the Oilers past the Dallas Stars.
He claims that the Oilers shouldn't take him out of the lineup, as they have the kind of level of compete they need for success.
As a former Stanley Cup champion, Perry would know.
