Oilers head coach, Chris Knoblauch, addressed the heated exchange between Corey Perry and Evander Kane during last night's win against the Calgary Flames, describing it as "emotional."

He mentioned that the two players had spoken before the period started and seemed to have resolved their differences. According to him, it was just a disagreement between two passionate players, nothing more.

"emotional. i know before the period started, they had talked and made it out. there's just a disagreement, and two passionate players. nothing more than that."

When asked if he encourages such passion and emotion from his players, he emphasized the importance of handling such situations well. He highlighted the need for players to remain composed and focused, especially after arguments like these:

Woodcroft acknowledged that hockey players are competitive and have emotions that sometimes come out during the game. However, he expressed confidence that such incidents are rare and not likely to happen again.

"if it's handled right if it's handled well. obviously, most important is do they stay composed, or focus, i should say focus. the more important word would be focus. being able to return from that exchange ready for their next shift. and if they have that exchange, and it affects others on the bench, if it affects their next shift, then absolutely we don't want to see that. these players are very competitive, and they have emotions. sometimes that comes out. overall, i don't assume it's going to happen again."
