A week before the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, there's been rumors spread about prospect Ivan Demidov.
We saw this happen with another KHLer during the last draft year in 2023, with Matvei Michkov.
Many teams and scouts will circulate rumors to cause a change draft position, so they construct falsehoods to benefit them.
In a week, teams have more or less an ideas of who they want to draft in Las Vegas, and other clubs try to their best to force the hand of other teams.

It's best practice to be aware of the falsehoods and lies constructed by dishonest teams. And call it where it stands, in order to draft the best players available.

He doesn't name any team in particular, whether or not this is about the Chicago Blackhawks. But this talk, it could benefit the team to secure Demidov's services later in the draft.
Do the Blackhawks really want Demidov? If so, other teams spreading rumors could be a huge boon as it allows for another situation mirroring Michkov in 2023.
