Blackhawks complete trade and a phone call to a top 2024 NHL draft prospect
The Chicago Blackhawks are making their plans to make the 2024 NHL Entry Draft a successful one.
With the team moving up in the draft, to #18 and #50 after the the trade with the New York Islander. The prospects available change.
One prospect the Blackhawks are reportedly looking into drafting is Center Man Sacha Boisvert, who spent the last two seasons in the USHL.
I don't know if today's transaction is related to that but I have it on good authority that the Hawks called Sacha Boisvert this week to speak with him and their interest is high. And he is expected to go out in these surroundings. To be continued!
The Center is a towering 6'2" 179lbs, playing 61 games with the Muskegon Lumberjacks, posting 36 goals and 68 points.
The Chicago Blackhawks recently made a trade to land the 18th overall pick and reports have stated that the Blackhawks have "a great deal of interest in Boisvert". If this is true, the Golden Knights could have been targeting him and may need to shift their attention to someone else.
Boisvert is a Quebec product, who instead of going the usual QMJHL route, has opted for the USHL and the NCAA route, as a future North Dakota commit.
It looks as if Boisvert could be available to the Blackhawks at pick #18, if he isn't selected beforehand.
The Canadian could be a big coup for the Blackhawks, as he is a hard-worker every shift, has a high hockey IQ and is a playmaker on the ice.
He also knows how to use his height to create offense and open up passing lanes.
