Is this Chicago Blackhawks star forward Connor Bedard's first career fight?
Connor Bedard's Fiery Encounter at the World Championships
In a heated matchup between Team Canada and Denmark at the World Championships last month, young star Connor Bedard showed a different side of his game, engaging in what appeared to be his first on-ice fight.
Bedard and Denmark's Jesper Jensen Aabo were both sent to the penalty box after a rough exchange that stopped short of escalating into a full blown fight.
During the game, tensions ran high, culminating in the two players throwing punches. Instead of a major penalty, both were handed two-minute minors for roughing.
This incident not only marked a rare moment of aggression from the 18-year-old phenom but also highlighted the intense nature of the competition at the international level.
Bedard was really in the heads of Team Denmark, as he just didn't rough them up; he had a two-goal performance as well.
