A 39-year old aging NHL veteran announces his retirement from pro hockey and snubs a former team in his announcement

A longtime NHL forward will be hanging up the skates after a 15-year career and abandoning the NHL in 2022.
The 39-year old played his first game with the Dallas Stars in 2006, and his last with the Arizona Coyotes in 2022.
But there may have been a sour ending within one of the many organizations he played for, as he excluded them from his retirement statement posted to social media.

Louis Eriksson left out the Vancouver Canucks in retirement message

"It's time. After a year and a half of reflection, it's time to officially retire. Hockey has given me more than I could have ever imagined. I've had the highest of highs and lowest of lows, but at the end of the day, I'm so thankful for the memories that I'm bringing as I walk away from the game of hockey."

Eriksson had a solid stretch from 2008 until 2012 when he was with the Dallas Stars, who drafted him in the 2003 entry draft.
Earning a spot at the NHL All-Star Game in the middle of his career-high point total season with 73.
He was apart of the infamous Tyler Seguin trade in 2013, when Eriksson was sent off to Boston in exchange for Tyler Seguin. Bruins ship Seguin to Stars in 7-player trade
A smart trade from the Dallas Stars, as Eriksson never once reached his neer-career high total ever again, suffering several injuries.
Despite finishing the majority of his career (5 years) with the Vancouver Canucks, Eriksson snubbed them in his retirement message, have a look:
"A special thank you to the Dallas Stars organization for helping me as a young man transition into the life of an athlete in the states, for believing in me and giving me a chance to play in the NHL and making my dreams come true. The city of Dallas and the friends I crossed paths with through the years will forever have a special place in my heart."
