HC Vita Hästen player Casper Gillberg got a long 13-month suspension after a bad incident in a #HockeyTrean game.

The 22-year-old Swede body-checked a referee into the boards, and the ref broke his arm.

Gillberg is a big guy at 6'5" and 227 lbs, and he's had problems before.

Last season, he got a 9-game suspension in Hockey Ettan for hitting someone in the head. In that season, he got the most penalty minutes in #HockeyEttan (East) with 66. In the 2021-22 NAHL season, he got 124 penalty minutes in 33 games.

People are asking if the 13-month ban, until December 31, 2024, is fair. This incident makes us think about how players behave on the ice and why we need strict rules to keep everyone safe in hockey.
