One game after Canadiens forward Josh Anderson faced suplemental discipline for a questionable crosscheck from behind on Vegas Golden Knights defenceman Alex Pietrangelo, another Canadiens forward found himself in hot water with the league's Department of Player Safety.
Juraj Slafkovsky was assessed a game misconduct after finishing a questionable hit along the boards on Detroit Red Wings player Matt Luff. The hit resulted in Luff being out for 10-12 weeks.
It was announced that Slafkovsky would have a phone hearing with the DOPS, and the results of that call were released to the public on Wednesday afternoon.
Slafkovsky was assessed a two-game suspension.
