In an interview, Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys revealed that another person was nicknamed "The Hammer." Bubbles said that his father used to be a great hockey player and that people called him "The Hammer"
"As soon as they dropped the puck, he'd just grab somebody. From the stories I've heard, he was drunk on the ice," he said. "I wish I could've seen some of those games. I don't even think anyone has it on video," he added.
During his time with the Hawks, Hjalmarsson was nicknamed "The Hammer." In his career, the Swedish defenceman played 821 games. He retired in July 2021 after 14 seasons in the NHL.
