2023 top prospect done after massive hit
The upcoming 2023 draft class is widely considered to be one of the deepest in recent memory. Among the top prospects are well-known names such as Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli, and Matvei Michkov. However, there is also a promising young defenseman from Austria named David Reinbacher who deserves more recognition.
Reinbacher is a versatile player who can effectively play both sides of the blue line.
He is known for his strong puck-moving abilities and skilled shot, as well as his ability to shut down offensive players. Prior to a recent injury, he was projected to be selected between the 11th and 35th picks in the first round of the draft.
Unfortunately, Reinbacher's promising performance in the IIHF World Hockey Championship was cut short when he was hip-checked by Rasmus Sandin while skating toward Sweden's net.
He is currently being evaluated for a lower-body injury, and there is no word yet on when he will be able to return to the ice.
