This year, the winner of the draft lottery is set to select Macklin Celebrini, the young star who's been the talk of the hockey world.
Although experts agree that this year's draft class doesn't quite match up to last year's, which included the phenomenal Connor Bedard, Celebrini is still seen as a franchise-altering talent.
Celebrini, only 17 years old, has already shown incredible talent on the ice. Playing for Boston University this past season, he scored an impressive 32 goals and assisted on 32 more, racking up a total of 64 points in just 38 games. Despite not being 18 until June 13th, Celebrini's performance has marked him as a player who could significantly change a franchise's fortunes.
