The NHL is officially on holiday break and will return for the second half of the season on Tuesday, December 27th. Until then, the rosters are frozen, meaning no transactions can be made from now, until the league resumes on Tuesday.

Trade talks and action are set to pick up as the NHL trade deadline is quickly approaching, nearly two months away on March 3rd.

MANY, many, big names are out there, but there is also very many skaters who are likely to be traded that hockey fans may not be aware of.

Let's take a look at the top 15 most valuable trade assets heading into the NHL's trade deadline which ends on March 3rd.
