5 NHL Players Face Suspension With Team Canada Investigation
NHL Insider Frank Seravalli provided an update earlier in the summer regarding the 2018 World Juniors Hockey Canada Scandal and its ominous consequences. As a result, Seravalli believes that the investigation's results will be revealed soon, along with suspensions for NHL players.
During this week's Cam and Strick, Andy reported that 5 NHL players are will face suspension due to the WJC 2018 Scandal.
It is possible that there are a number of significant players involved in the case, according to Andy.
The St. Louis Blues' Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas, both members of the 2018 Hockey Canada team, released statements that they had no involvement in the assault. In subsequent statements, other players denied involvement in the assault.
Andy Strickland on Cam and Strick today said it's likely «5 players» will be facing NHL suspensions for their involvement in the 2018 WJC sexual assault scandal. Said he knows the names but won't say them now.
«Some significant names»
A number of players who are represented by the same agency, including Taylor Raddysh, Carter Hart, Jake Bean, Kale Clague, and Colton Point, have released statements claiming they were not involved. Cale Makar, Victor Mete, Connor Timmins, Sam Steel and Jonah Gadjovich have also denied involvement.
There was no comment regarding the allegations from Alex Formenton or Drake Batherson of the Ottawa Senators. Last season, Formenton and Ottawa were unable to reach an agreement by Dec 1st, so he hasn't played in the NHL since.
*TO BE CLEAR: We are not saying Batherson and Formenton are involved in the ongoing Hockey Canada allegations.*
Players have not yet been identified in court documents, but it appears that names will be released soon.
