Alex DeBrincat Comments on If He Wants a Extension With The Blackhawks Or Not..
The question of Alex DeBrincat's future with the Chicago Blackhawks has been up in the air as of this season, as it has been one dreadful one as well as the young 24 year old forwards contract is expiring after next season.
Alex DeBrincat Is on a $6,400,000 MILLION Dollar contract at the moment, and will need a large pay raise as he has only gotten progressively better despite the Blackhawks declining over the past few years.
DeBrincats career high season consisted of a whopping total of 76 points with 41 goals scored in 2018-19 with that being only his second season in the National Hockey League.
Fast forwarding 3 seasons the Blackhawks have sure declined greatly, but Alex DeBrincat continues to impress and has already matched his former career high point total of 76.
The issue is he deserves a huge pay raise over the fact of his consistency to produce on this all time low Blackhawks roster, but general manager Kyle Davidson has announced months back that they are heading into a full rebuild stage and large contracts are not a help to that.
