If there is one player the Chicago Blackhawks fan base misses out of the many let go or traded away recently, it's ''the cat'', Alex DeBrincat. DeBrincat recently took the stand in Ottawa, and Blackhawks media got to sit down and question him. The Blackhawks are in Ottawa tonight as they take on the Blackhawks, and you could almost put your house on Alex DeBrincat scoring a goal against his former team.

Alex DeBrincat was asked about his former teammates time in Chicago, Patrick Kane, and he kind of spoke for Patrick himself:

"It's been tough for him. A lot of his buddies got moved out last year and I think he's been going through a little bit of the injury stuff. ... It's a tough season. I can't say he probably wants to be in a rebuild right now, but you guys can ask him that."

DeBrincat proceeded to say
"He's so competitive. He's a guy who wants to win every night and be the best player on the ice every night. So I can imagine this is tough for him."

He said the league's excited to see if Kane can find "a new home" and get comfortable there.
