The Chicago Blackhawks are off to a solid start to begin the year, but are they actually any good?
Well let's take a look.
Away from him, though, it is a locker room that is full of guys who just want to compete. They are multiple guys on contract years that are trying to get more money on their next deal.
The powerplay and penalty kill have been inefficient, but extremely successful when things are going right. The Hawks have 4 shorthanded goals in their last 3 games and their powerplay has been striking at a nice rate, as well. Connor Bedard has been a nice addition.
Tonight's game will tell a lot, as they are going up against one of the better teams in the league in the Florida Panthers.
Luke Richardson has done a good job. It is too early to say for sure if the Blackhawks are accidentally good, but the offense seems good enough to steal a decent amount of games away from their opponents this year.
