With Jonathan Toews out with an illness, the Blackhawks were left with only 11 healthy forwards this morning. Going into tonight's game against the New Jersey Devils, forward Lukas Reichel has officially been called up from Rockford, making this his season debut with the Blackhawks. Reichel will be playing left wing on a line with Jason Dickinson and Taylor Raddysh in tonight's game.
This season, Reichel has 23 points (10G, 13A) in 19 games with the IceHogs. Last season he played in 11 games with the Blackhawks; he earned one assist against Nashville on April 16th. Reichel was drafted in 2020 as the 17th overall pick.
