BREAKING: Former Chicago Blackhawks Receives Suspension From NHL Player Safety Committee
Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Ryan Hartman is set to have a hearing with the NHL's Department of Player Safety committee following a controversial hit in last night's game. The hit, which can be seen in a video shared by the committee on Twitter, was made on Winnipeg's Nikolaj Ehlers and resulted in Hartman being assessed a two-minute minor for interference and a minor for roughing. Ehlers was visibly in pain as he struggled to get off the ice.
Hartman, who now plays for the Minnesota Wild, will have to face the consequences of his actions as the league takes player safety seriously. The hearing will determine if further disciplinary action is necessary, such as a fine or suspension.
