The Blackhawks are currently the worst team in the NHL and have zero chance at making the playoffs throughout the next few years, Kane and Toews are both heading towards the final few years of their careers, do they really want to spend their final moments in the NHL losing? According to a report from one of the biggest sports companies out there, Barstool Chicago, Ryan Brandell has stated he has a bit of inside scoop, he stated Toews and Kane will NOT be traded this season, and that he expects Patrick Kane to return and re-sign next year.

Toews on the other hand, Brandell states he doesn't think Toews will be back.

This makes sense and it doesn't, but it would make more sense of the two returning to Chicago if Kane and or Toews decide to sign one-year deals, to get one more year in Chicago.
