The NHL trade deadline is coming up super quick and team's General Manager's are deciding to whether or not they will be seller's or buyers.
I think it's safe to say we know what Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson's plans are as he's been embracing the tank since the off season, trading away Kirby Dach and Alex DeBrincat at the NHL Draft.
Davidson has plenty of players available that are likely to have a new home by March 3rd including Jake McCabe, Max Domi, and of course Patrick Kane and possibly Jonathan Toews.
However, according to many sources including the Athletic they believe Toews won't be traded due to his recent health issues returning of late. And Toews' former illness battles that kept him out of the entire 2020-21 season sadly doesn't have a cure, we can only hope he is not going through that once again.
Toews has chronic immune response syndrome, but the Blackhawks haven't specified that it's related to that.
Only time will tell if Toews doesn't get moved, but realistically it's looking like Captain Serious will remain a Chicago Blackhawk at least till this off-season and will potentially sign a one year deal with the Blackhawks until he recovers from his illness.
