Each and every NHL year there always ends up being a few ''what the heck?'' moments when NHL organizations place promising players on waivers, or fail to make them a qualifying offer, making them free-agents.
The most recent one was announced on Sunday, December eleventh and nobody expected this young player to last long on the open market.
23 year old Finnish forward Eeli Tolvanen officially hit waivers in a surprising way, Tolvanen was drafted 30th overall by the Nashville Predators organization and has developed as one of their organizations most highly-promoted prospects.
Tolvanen comes with a low-risk high-reward contract of only $1.45 million per season, and the Seattle Kraken have officially hopped on that!
Tolvanen holds the most value out of any player placed on waivers so far this season, the Predators continue to make mistakes and other teams continue to benefit!
