Petr Mrazek, the starting goaltender for the Chicago Blackhawks, had his second groin injury of the year, but fortunately for Chicago, it appears to have been only a slight setback. Mrazek hopes to play in the Blackhawks' contest against the Washington Capitals, according to Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago.
The Blackhawks have confirmed it via their twitter that Mrazek is BACK!
This is great news for the organization as both starting goaltenders have been out for quite some time, alongside Mrazek's groin injury- Alex Stalock has been sidelined for over one month due to getting ran over by Islanders forward Casey Cizikas.
Thankfully Mrazek is back and can take over the starting goaltender role, not that current goaltender Arvid Soderblom is not doing well, but the Blackhawks do not want to put a lot on the future Hawks starting goalie so early on throughout his career.
