BREAKING - The Blackhawks Get a Forward Back After 6 Months of Waiting
Chicago Blackhawks' depth forward, Colin Blackwell, took a significant step towards his recovery by hitting the ice for practice today. This marks his first practice session in over six months as he continues to bounce back from sports hernia surgery that took place back in March.
Initially, the Blackhawks had high hopes for Blackwell's speedy recovery, anticipating his return at the beginning of training camp. However, the player himself acknowledged that he hadn't fully recuperated when he first stepped onto the ice last month.
As he inches closer to regaining full health, the 30-year-old forward now becomes a potential waiver candidate in the coming days. In the previous season, Blackwell contributed two goals and ten points in 53 games played with the Chicago Blackhawks.
His return to practice is a positive development for both Blackwell and the team, and it will be interesting to see how he progresses in the upcoming days and whether he can regain his form as a valuable depth player for the Blackhawks.
