BREAKING - Toews Announces This is His Final Game Today
The news for the Chicago Blackhawks gets worse and worse, as they may be out of the race for Conor Bedard.
Now, Winnipeg's own Jonathan Toews has made an announcement about his future.
Blackhawks Captain Jonathan Toews announced Thursday will be the last game he plays in a Blackhawks uniform.
A Toews loss will be felt, as the longest-tenured Blackhawks Captain, getting the "C" at age 20 is something to behold and respect as unique at the time.
Toews was anointed Captain on July 18th, 2008 and since then, they experienced a short Dynasty with three Stanley Cups with Jonathan Toews leading the way.
As goes Hjalmarsson, goes Toews another piece in the puzzle of the team that delivered for the fans and gave the Blackhawks in 2010's legitimacy as the team to beat.
Thank you for everything, Captain, and for all your contributions on ice.
