Bad news for Detroit following Patrick Kane signing
With a $2.75 million salary, Patrick Kane is part of the Yzerplan in Detroit for a year. His role this season is more or less that of a rental.
Meanwhile, the team hopes Kane is healthy enough to make an impact and win as many games as possible.
Patrick Kane's arrival in Hockeytown, however, comes with some terrible news as the Detroit Red Wings will be without key players.
The Wings' captain and first-line center, Dylan Larkin, is considered day-to-day, so he may not be available for Thursday's game when Kane and the Wings roll into the United Center.
Larkin's absence will be felt most by the team, though Justin Holl will also be absent.
This year, the line of Larkin, DeBrincat, and Raymond has been one of the league's best. But has been slumping recently, maybe they're hoping Kane will be a jolt of energy for the team?
Alex DeBrincat through 14 games this season:
First seven games 9 goals, 4 assists
Next seven games 0 goals, 1 assist

Per Coach Lalonde, Dylan Larkin (day to day) will not play tomorrow in New York.
Additionally, Justin Holl is questionable for tomorrow and Jake Walman is expected to be available. It's hard to tell where Kane will fit into the lineup, but with Larkin out, is it possible that he will play on the first line?
As reported by DailyFaceOff, JT Compher is set to replace Larkin as the 1st line Center.
Tough start for Kane in his new, short career with the Detroit Red Wings.
