Connor Bedard in the 2023 NHL Draft in hopes that he could help turn the franchise into a winner.
In addition, they have large plans for Chicago and are committed to keeping the city at the center of hockey culture.

In 2024, Fifth Third Arena will be expanded, and a community ice rink will be added to the facility with the expansion.
This rink aims to become one of the best community rinks in the world in order to keep hockey culture vibrant in Chicago.
This announcement opens up the possibility of the IIHF Juniors being played in Chicago, as well as local and youth programs getting a boost from the team.
Construction on the expanded Fifth Third Arena is expected to start in 2024, with an opening date of 2026.
Not only is the team recommitting itself to improving the product on ice, but it is also reinvesting in the community.
