The Chicago Blackhawks handed a beating to their former teammate Alex DeBrincat and the Ottawa Senators in DeBrincat's return to Chicago Monday night.
After the game Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson revealed that defensemen Andreas Englund was injured and Richardson says Englund is doubtful for Wednesday's game vs the Detroit Red Wings.
The Blackhawks acquired Englund in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche for defenseman Jack Johnson.
The 27 year-old from Stockholm Sweden recorded three assists and a team-leading 104 hits in 36 NHL games with the Avalanche this season.
Englund was originally selected by Ottawa in the second round (40th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft but didn't pan put and went back to Sweden before returning to the NHL.
