The Chicago Blackhawks beat the St Louis Blues last night, winning 5-3.
Jaxson Stauber, 23 years old, made his NHL debut in net for the Hawks. He got his first win in his first game. Stauber made 29 saves, and Jordan Binnington made it very easy on this offense.
Jaxson is the first goalie since 2018 to start and win his first game as a goaltender. The last goalie to did it was Colin Delia, even though Scott Foster finished the game. The win was credited to Delia, but both netminders had their first wins in the same night, together.
