Merrimack men's hockey announced on Twitter that they have brought in Blackhawks prospect Slava Demin on transfer. Demin will now be playing for his third school in his college career.
He began at Denver university before transferring to Umass prior to the beginning of this past college hockey season. Oddly enough for Demin, Umass met Denver in the first round of this years NCAA Men's Ice Hockey. Denver won that contest 4-3. And then they would go on to win the whole tournament and be crowned national champions.
Demin and Umass finished with a record of 22-13-2 on the year. And Merrimack finished with a record 19-15-1. Should get some solid ice time at his new destination.
