The Chicago Blackhawks are in a current full rebuild state, per general manager Kyle Davidson and fans are wondering what is next in store for the franchise that has been declining the past few seasons.

In order to have a appropriate rebuild, large contracts may have to be let go- and fan favorites as well if the price is right. Blackhawks fans found that out quite quickly after the hiring of Davidson as one of his first moved were trading Brandon Hagel to the back-to-back cup champions the Tampa Bay Lightning. GM Kyle Davidson got quite the haul back, including multiple first round picks and other key depth players such as Boris Katchouk and Taylor Raddysh who has excelled in a Blackhawks sweater during the last stretch of the regular season.

The trade was a huge win for the Blackhawks, insiders saying the Blackhawks fleeced' the Lightning and the trade is seeming quite so looking at it months after.

Aside from trading, it is in the managements role to draft for the future and to make each and every pick worth it.

Blackhawks chief scout Mike Doneghey says they're looking for speed, speed, and more speed. He wants players who can play as fast as they can play and as direct as they can play.

When asked about the rebuild speed was once brought up again. «Let's get this as fast moving forward as we can».

Elliot Friedman confirms the Blackhawks have been one of the many teams in contact with the Ottawa Senators due to their 7th overall pick, as well as the New Jersey Devils who hold the 2nd overall pick in this years entry draft.

Stay tuned Hawks fans, the Hawks will have one heck of a off season..
