It's Been Revealed What The Blackhawks Would Have to Pay DeBrincat For Him to Stay..
Alex DeBrincat has sure made his presence as a elite forward in Chicago known, having multiple 40+ goal and 70+ point seasons under his belt at just 24 years of age leaves lots of question in regards to if the Blackhawks should move him for pieces for the rebuild, or sign him to be on board for the rebuild.
Fans and even players are hoping DeBrincat stays long term, Patrick Kane being one who has mentioned it would surely entourage Kane's decision to stay as a Blackhawk IF DeBrincat is here.
Kane surely not forgetting when the Blackhawks traded away his former wing partner and duo Artemi Panarin, after having multiple career best years/seasons with Kane on his wing it did not make much sense why the Blackhawks traded him away- but the cap and price of it did.
That may be the case for DeBrincat as he is due for a LARGE pay day, DeBrincat is going to need a new contract after next season goes by. He is currently on a steal of a deal at $6,400,000 per season when forwards around his skill level are nearly making double.
NHL insider/reporter Mark Lazarus revealed that the Blackhawks will more than likely have to fork up a whopping $9,000,000 - $10,000,000 long term contract if they'd like to keep DeBrincat around, but that is truly deserving after what the cat' has done throughout his past few seasons. But will Kyle Davidson want that apart of his rebuild?
