Blackhawks draftee describes his favourite Blackhawk at NHL Draft
As generations of hockey players continue to filter through the ranks, starting from the minors and then progressing into the NHL, players often explain the idols they looked up to or the players who inspired them to become better athletes during their draft interviews.
During the 2010s, the Blackhawks embarked on a Stanley Cup run, winning three cups within five years. These triumphant years, along with the excitement of watching the team compete, provided ample motivation for Nick Lardis, the newest Blackhawks draft pick, to aspire to be a part of
this esteemed organization.
Hailing from Oakville, Ontario, the 17-year-old Lardis was selected in the third round, 67th overall. Standing at 5'11" and weighing 168 pounds, Lardis predominantly plays on the right wing. Known for his goal-scoring abilities in the minors, he possesses an uncanny ability to find the back of the net regardless of where the puck is on the ice.
According to eliteprospects.com, Lardis demonstrates a strong
hockey IQ, understanding the art of shooting and positioning himself effectively.
