The Pittsburgh Penguins General Manager Ron Hextall has been on the hot seat for a while over in Pittsburgh, due to how the season is going and some of the decisions' Hextall has made in.
Well you can add another bad decision to that list as after placing forward Kasperi Kapanen on waivers, Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman announced the St Louis Blues claimed Kapanen off waivers today.
Kapanen has struggled this year offensively but could fit nicely in St Louis. The 26 year old is still under contract until the end of next season with a cap hit of $3.2 million dollars.
The Blackhawks were reportedly in search to acquire Kapanen from the Penguins, in exchange for nothing, so the Penguins could clear cap space.
