TSN reports:

A woman who alleged she was sexually assaulted by eight CHL players, including members of Canada's 2017-18 World Junior team, has agreed to drop a lawsuit against the players, Hockey Canada, and the CHL after reaching a settlement.
After this serious matter was released to the public Hockey Canada lost multiple of there biggest sponsors such as gatorade, scotiabank, canadian tire and more. The Canadian government has also stepped in and cut off all funding until this issue is properly resolved.

TSN has also released info regarding the assault, which may be triggering for some to read.

According to the lawsuit, the players directed her to fondle her genitals, and perform oral sex on them. The players also allegedly straddled the plaintiff while placing
their genitals in her face, slapped the plaintiff on her buttocks, spat on her, ejaculated in and on her, engaged in vaginal intercourse with her, pressured her from
leaving the room when she tried to, and engaged in other
sexual activities with her.

It was stated that a member of the team Canada roster invited the girl to a bar, which afterwards invited her back to his hotel which then he proceeded to engage in sexual inter course with her, afterwards unknowingly invited the other players into the room without the girls consent.

It has been identified that 8 defendants of the sexual assault were CHL players that were apart of the world juniors gold medal roster of 2018.

It is quite easy to identify the individuals involved as only so many on that roster played in the CHL at the time, two of those being Chicago Blackhawks Boris Katchouk and Taylor Raddysh.

It is stated that the allegations made in court were never proven, and a settlement was reached between the CHL, Hockey Canada and the girl who was involve. Until news hit July that the girl will be reinstating her case and going to trial!!

It seems as if the team was aware, but nobody spoke up- which should make each player accountable. Surely hoping the law works in her favor if allegations are true, and us at Hawksinsider are super proud of her for doing so and moving forward.
