Chicago Blackhawks Forward Drawing Serious Interest: Not Kane, Toews or Domi!?
When you think of players on the Blackhawks who are getting the most attention, you would think it would be Kane or Towes right? Well Elliot Friedman has come out on his 32 Thoughts podcast and stated that the player who is getting the most attention is actually forward Sam Lafferty.
Lafferty isn't a fancy player but brings a lot of aspects to his game like his penalty killing abilities, his speed, his size and his toughness. This would make a lot of sense for teams wanting to go deep in the playoffs. Lafferty also brings depth scoring which a lot of teams could use an upgrade in that category.
Lafferty is signed at $1.15 million and wouldn't be a rental as he is singed for another year. He currently has 17 points in 42 games which he already surpassed his previous career high which was 13.
