Chicago Blackhawks Prospect Receives A Huge Honouring
Two players off of the Boston University men's ice hockey team have each received a weekly award from Hockey East. The league announced this on Monday.
Drew Commesso a prospect for the Chicago Blackhawks was one of the two players given the weekly award and was named Hockey East Goaltender of the Week. Commesso played amazing in the Terriers' weekend sweep. On Saturday in Chestnut Hill, Commesso would stop 40 out of the 41 shots he faced, which 22 of them came in the third period and would hold on to get a 3-1 win. The main reason they were able to hold onto the win was cause Commesso would make a lot of timely saves during the first period, that would allow Boston University to hold onto the win. Prior to that he would make 24 saves in a victory on Friday. Commesso had a total of 64 saves which would rank him second for the weekend among league goaltenders.
Boston University is ranked 3rd in both national polls this week, and will be travelling to Main for a game on Friday night and will be playing at Alfond Arena. The puck drop will be for 7pm.
