The Dallas Stars are currently haunted by the atrocious contracts the team have handed out in the past, two of those worst being Tyler Seguin signed for $9.85 million dollar per season for 8 YEARS LONG, and to top it off he has a full no movement clause with his contract. This deal would have been a steal, after Seguin's contract expiring season be finished with a impressive 80 points, earning that $9.85 million per year deal, until he completely fell off the map the season later, and ever since 2019-20 having career worst seasons and also serious surgeries, make this contract one of the worst to ever be handed out. Seguin's deal works out to be $13 million dollars per season, tied for third highest in the NHL and makes more than players like Nathan Mackinnon, Roman Josi, Mitch Marner, Auston Matthews and plenty more.

Jamie Benn did you think Seguin's contract was brutal!? Just wait until you hear this.. Benn was signed by the Dallas Stars in the 2017-18 season for a whopping 8 years as well, with a average of $9.5 million dollars per season, Benn makes more than many NHL stars such as Nathan Mackinnon and others.

Jamie Benn is much like Seguin, and fell off the face of the earth after signing a huge contract. His point production nearly cut in half, and has put up nearly 3 career worst seasons since signing his large contract.

Dallas Stars owner Tom Galgardi made it clear how he feels about Benn and Seguin with a little shot towards there performances, but who blames him? The guy is absolutely right!

With those contracts they've got to bring more to the table. It hampers the team. It's getting a bit pathetic at this point.

The Stars have not been able to start a rebuild or will be able to for many years as both Benn and Seguin have a no movement clause in there long term, nasty contracts.
